some people are really funny.
I was driving home from picking up the boy last week and saw on of the guys on one of my site running, so i thought i would ask for some advice.
after some good advice he turns round and adds "you have the build for a distance runner - you might even start enjoying it!"
not sure how to take that...
(eddited for poor spelling - even by my standard)

Prevarication is the name of the game...
Don't worry, Russ - you aren't alone! I'm still telling myself I'll lace my trainers up and go out tomorrow! I am trying to avoid the shin splints and general pain of September last year though by doing more cross training and less (well, at the moment, no) pavement pounding. Even though I'm not actually running, I'm trying to convince myself time spent at the gym all counts.
I went to a body attack class last night and feel like I've been beaten up with a baseball bat this morning, so it must be doing me some good!

Eeeek and double eeeek!
I thought I would look back to this time last year to see how training was going and was aghast as the fact that I was running 10km in an hour. Seeing as we are a couple weeks closer to race day this year and I am not at this pace/distance/time (delete as applicable) I think I need to put some more effort in and post haste. Is anyone else struggling?
All very quiet on the blog front.

Guilt all of the way now...
My ten year old has just completed the De La Salle walk (18km) in 2 hours 21 mins with no training at all. Proud, you bet your ass...but I feel even slower than normal now! Maybe I can use him as a pace maker seeing as he is too young to run the GNR proper.
